It would be wrong, wouldn’t it, to walk amongst London's fashion press, camera in hand, and act as if I am a fashion photographer on assignment for a large glossy magazine.
Well I didn't actually mention any magazine but it is fair to say that wandering around Arcadia's Spring/Summer 2012 Press Day I did perhaps give the impression that I was a photographer as I clicked away the afternoon.
You see, when you don't know a great deal about fashion and you're not really in a position to comment on fabrics and trends, it's far better to hide behind a camera lens.
I’ll leave the rest to the experts and make the most of my new blogging motto - if all else fails, and you really don’t know what you are talking about - post an image, or fourteen. That said, there's no excuse for the last one.
Special thanks to the team at Arcadia for the chance to preview the range, to mix with London’s fashion press and to dine out in Mayfair. I really could get used to this.
Next week I'm on assignment with Vogue magazine somewhere hot overlooking the sea. Okay I made that last bit up.
Ooooo, I love all those wedges. Not so sure about the sparkly lace-ups though! Really great photos.

Thanks PhotoPuddle, there were so many wedges I couldn't fit them on here. They really were fabulous. I'm with you on the sparkly lace-ups though.

I love the sparkly lace-ups but I suspect you need to be just the right side of tall and willowy for them to work. I'd look like Coco the Clown's dumpy sister.

I really love those shoes & the nail varnish!

Now you're a published author Ellen, I think it's essential you wear clothes that make you stand out. Although, I'm more a fan of sparkly tops than sparkly shoes, has to be said.

The shoes were fabulous Julia. And if my nails ever grow longer than half a millimetre I'll be trying out the nail varnish too!
