We are off to a 70th birthday party tonight and for some reason IJ has felt the need to leave me a set of instructions.
Assuming this was a list of clothes she wanted me to wash, dry and iron in the space of 24 hours, or something equally ridiculous, I paid little attention to it.
So imagine my alarm when I opened up the paper to find a set of disco dance moves. These are what she is expecting me to 'perform' at the party tonight.
In case these aren't clear, here they are in order:
1. Stand still
2. Put your arms up
3. Flip over
4. Spin around
5. Do the spilts
6. Dance like a robot
7. Try and kick your knee to your head
8. Jump up and do the spilts.
Obviously that's how I normally dance, but without the 'dance like a robot bit.'
Do feel free to have a go in your own living room.
I LOVE this! So funny! And at a wild 70th birthday part too. Obviously you'll be doing all these moves. Especially jumping up and doing the splits. Can we see the photos please?

Oh I love this! IJ has a budding career as a choreographer. Enjoy the disco!

Photos? Ah. Well there's a slight problem with my camera, you understand ...

Thank you. At this rate the disco will be a little wild. There may be injuries!

That's brilliant! So helpful of her. I hope you'll be doing all of those things (and that someone takes pictures).

This is definetely better than your jogging routine. Take on this instead! Ciao. A.

Haha, is she concerned your own 'moves' might embarrass her?!

Awe this is so sweet what a lovely girl. And yes Rosie I can imagine you doing these moves lol x

Hahahahaha. That really had me cracking up. We are having little L's birthday this afternoon. I shall give it a go and see how many 2-y-o's I can impress with that dance.
PS: Love how your boobs roam freely when spinning around. Great attention to detail, heehee.

That is amazing! What a bright cookie. And she knows her moves! I'm impressed.

Yes, I agree. This is so much better than my jogging routine although more likely to cause me a dangerous injury!! I might miss out the flip over!

I am slightly concerned that the 'dance like a robot' move is in fact based on my own dancing!

That's hilarious. I hadn't noticed my boobs moving freely but I've looked again and you are absolutely right! That's cracked me up. My child is obsessed with boobs. Goodness me. Wait until Little L gets to this stage!

This is brilliant - I think you should send it to Nigel Lithgoe and Arlene Philips immediately!
