This week's Gallery theme is the seven deadly sins which has actually proved quite difficult. I've gone with envy.
One place I love visiting in the UK is Kingston-upon-Thames. We've been there twice in the last few years -- coffee shops, restaurants, riverside bars, classy apartments, and of course The Bentall Centre.
I'm just a little bit envious.

I grew up near Kingston, it's gorgeous isn't it! I used to work in Bentalls, not sure I've ever seen it so quiet as it is in that photo though :)

Oooh I went to college near here.. It has brought out all sorts of happy memories. Now I am a bit envious too.

How in god's green earth did you manage to get a photo of a shopping mall with about 4 people in it? Did they clear it especially for you or were you there at midnight!

Tara, I'm surprised you had to ask. Of course the shopping mall was cleared especially for us, by my personal shopper and his security team. Are you telling me that is not normal?

I suspect the fire alarm had gone off and we have failed to notice. It's the sort of thing that happens when we end up in toy departments!

Nice place to study. I got a place at the university there but decided not to take it in the end.

I lived quite near there for a while too. I love busy places, full of life. I'm also a bit of a shopoholic!

Despite living only a few miles down the road I've only ever been there once and didn't even get the chance to look around.

Thanks CJ. This must look quite different from your rural farm setting. I think a mixture of busy shopping centres and fresh county air has to be the best. xx

What? No shopping? That's dreadful. On the other hand, it probably stops you from wasting a lot of money :)

I don't think I've ever been to Kingston! Apart from driving past on the A3. Who knew it was so nice?

I love Kingston too, and it is years since I was there....I don't think I've ever seen that shopping centre - what a gorgeous pic. These images make me feel all summery, and make me long for lazy days *sigh*

Oh! I need to shop. Now!

Kingston is a great place for shopping. Haven't been there in years but your pics bring back memories of when I did. I love a good shopping mall (being American and all) and have visited a few. Cabots Circus opened about a year ago in Bristol and that is a great place to get lost in. Wish I had more time & money to spend there!
