Lovely Linda Jones has awarded me the Kreativ Blogger Award (which I think also means a win a £1000 prize, a brand new car and free access to a local health spa for a year, although I'm not sure. There is no mention of that in her piece; I'm assuming so unless I hear otherwise.)
To get my prize award, I have to disclose seven facts about myself that have not been said before. So here goes:
Under the influence of two pints of lager I got a small tattoo on my stomach. It seemed a good idea at the time, less so when nine months pregnant.
I once had dinner with one of ITV's Gladiators. (I'm not saying who.)
I have shaken hands with Eric Clapton. (I'm not saying where.)
I once bumped into Bonnie Langford after an eyebrow wax. (My eyebrows, not hers.)
My friends put out an alert the London Transport Police after I completed a charity walk, celebrated with three glasses of wine and then wandered off. (I somehow made it home; I don't remember exactly how.)
I am actually quite shy.
I walked out of a job at an upmarket shoe shop because I was bored.
I cannot cook.
I now have to pass the award onto seven other bloggers who can take up the following challenge, if they wish:
- Copy the award to your blog
- Insert a link to the person who nominated me
- Tell you seven things about myself that I haven’t told you before
- Nominate seven other bloggers for the award
- Link to their blogs
- Tell the nominees about their award
So I'm awarding it to:
Heather at Notes from Lapland
Laura at Are we nearly there yet mummy?
Hazel at Hot Cross Mum
Emily at Babyrambles
Sian at Mummy-tips
Jay at Mochabeaniemummy
Nickie at Typecast2000
Classic. I love your mysterious celeb encounters ('I won't say where...'). I've got a tattoo as well. My friend had a tummy tattoo that grew to epic proportions when she was pregnant. Did yours shrink back to normal afterwards??!

It did shrink back to normal, Becky, although the words "This would look hilarious if I got pregnant" did come back to haunt me.

LOL-enjoyed your list.

I know one of those celebs you mentioned (I'm not saying which)

Great list - I'm now wondering if Bonnie Langford noticed the red, raw stripe above your eyes and commented on it...
Thanks for the tag - have got it saved for next week :)

I always wanted a small tattoo somewhere. I think I'm probably too old to start that sort of shenanigans now.

Thank you for the tag! I'm looking forward to this one. Oh please tell me which Gladiator! Hunter? Wolf? Rhino? Ace? I'm going to be wondering forever now.

Ah! Prehaps we used to live near each other. You never know!

The raw, red stripe was firmly covered by the very long fringe I had grown for the occasion, thankfully!

Well Barbara, my daughter has often queried what it is. I have put myself in a diffcult position if she ever announces she is getting one too. Heck!

Emily, I'm saying nothing (unless I meet you one day, then we'll talk!).
Posted by: Rosie Scribble | April 05, 2010 at 11:08 AM
Thank you - slightly more than I usually disclose!

Good point. I'm definitely too old to get one now then as my daughter will notice. My policy of not hiding my body from her has also rendered that a non-starter.

I love your sense of humor! This was a great list.

Hello Ms Scribble. Love this last - I am guessing it was Hunter and I also hope that you walked out of the shoe shop job with a cracking pair of their upmarket shoes on your feet! Thanks for passing onto me. I may have to temporarily inhabit someone else's body to make mine in any way interesting.......

Lovely Hot Cross Mum, I'm sure you can write an interesting list, I don't doubt you for a minute. Hunter? No comment. I see you are attempting a process of elimination. I like your style. LOL!
