I know exactly what you mean. Some of the mummy bloggers are having a big push on monday to help raise funds for the DEC - if you're interested in donating to the DEC the link is http://www.dec.org.uk/

Hi Rosie,

I love the shelter box, it's such a practical item and I like the idea of knowing exactly what my money is going on.

English Mum

Lovely post. I love the Shelter boxes too. I love the idea that once you've raised enough for a box you can track its progress too. Brilliant idea x

Dulwich divorcee

Tears in my eyes reading your post! So true. Let's make a difference

Crystal Jigsaw

It's an incredibly disastrous event in history. And we can help.

Just had to add...saw the Shelter Box USA link. Thanks again.

Selina Kingston

I know what you mean about the guilt - I have nothing to whine about in comparison. Thank you for telling us all about the shelter boxes. I'm going to see if we can raise enough money in my office tomorrow x

ThatGirl39

I think so many of us must be feeling bad about complaining about the weather... talk about perspective. The shelter boxes are an amazing idea... heres hoping we can get three. xx

Victoria Dixon

What a wonderful way to involve and raise funds via fellow Bloggers.

Blogged: http://is.gd/6rJE2 Tweeted & facebooked!

CONGRATULATIONS one and all on the funds we have helped raise so far. x

mummy mania

that's a great idea. We are involved with medicines sans frontier so have donated to them - again because it just brings home how much we have, and how lucky we are. well done you.

Rosie Scribble

Liz, it's great we can use our blogs to support such a worthwhile case. Thanks for adding the link.

Rosie Scribble

Thanks Erica, last time I looked we had nearly raised enough money for three Shelterboxes. It is great we can help in this way, it has to be better than sitting helplessly at home.

Rosie Scribble

The brilliant idea was your EM, and what a great job you have done in getting this going and so far achieving such amazing success. You are a star I am sending you virtual hugs x

Rosie Scribble

We are getting there DD, we *are* making a difference and your post has helped the effort too. Isn't it great that bloggers can unite in times of crisis to help those who are really suffering. xx

Rosie Scribble

Thanks for commenting. So pleased you have already found the Shelter Box USA link. I was going to go and find it for you :)

Rosie Scribble

We can help, we are helping, and your post is wonderful too. Isn't it great we can unite to make a difference where it really matters x

Rosie Scribble

Yes, and it is closer to £1500 now which is an amazing achievement. It is great we can unite in supoorting those that really need it!

Rosie Scribble

Thanks Selina, the amount we have raised is increasing by the hour which is wonderful. It really does put life into perspective when disasters like this happen. And to think I spent days complaining about the snow here. I even blogged about it.

Working Mum

Have already donated via this link. Great idea. As you say, puts our own troubles into perspective.

Rosie Scribble

When I last looked we were very close to three boxes, I must go back and see what the updated total is. Your post will be helping hugely too. We are all doing a great job. I may complain less about my life from now on. Situations like this really make you think.

Rosie Scribble

Thanks Victoria. It is great that so many bloggers are able to unite and support this very worthwhile cause. I'll pop over and look at your post. Thank you again x

Rosie Scribble

Thanks Mummy Mania, the more money that greats through the better, it doesn't matter what route is used at the end of the day as long as it gets there. I have vowed to complain less about life in general from now on. Certainly puts things into perspective.

Rosie Scribble

Thanks Working Mum, so far we have raised enough money for three boxes which is fantastic news!

A Modern Mother

You really can put it into perspetive. I love to see mum bloggers ban together for the greater good!

Carly

It is so great that we have all got together to donate. This disaster really does put things into perspective. This photo makes me so upset..my prayers all go to the amazing people of Haiti x

Kim

Bloggers have the power to make a difference. The passion in all the posts written by mum and dad bloggers has been moving. My heart goes out to those out in Haiti.
