It’s taken a while to get there.
It has always felt as if the rest of the world is already there.
As if I have spent the best part of a decade playing catch-up.
It has taken a while to find me, to find out what interests me, what I want from life and how I can go about building a secure future for the two of us.
I’ve searched for a career path that feels right, the feels like me, and for a subject area that jumps out at me and makes me want to devour every single book on the subject, and then some.
And I have finally found it.
At long last.

I’ve read books and articles and blogs and websites until I found the areas I want to build a career around: branding, social media, online marketing, people.
After studying everything from management and digital media to retail and even counselling, I can stop searching and focus my efforts here.
Finally I know the direction I am heading in and exactly where I want to go.
It feels good, and exciting, and a huge huge relief.
And it feels like the future, our future, after feeling so lost for so long.
It’s taken a while to get here.
If you’ve read my blog, if you’ve commented, tweeted or chatted to me offline, then you have me helped me to reach this point. Thank you.
