This isn't your average desert view. It marks the boundary of the Ein Gedi kibbutz, which overlooks the Dead Sea on one side and the Judean Desert on the other. There could be worse views but the barbed wire in this photograph has some significance for me personally.
After an incredibly exciting week touring a fabulous new country there's always a slight slump when your come home and return to real life. I've been left with itchy feet, an eagerness to explore and a new-found sense of adventure.
I'm keen to find a new challenge, do something meaningful and achieve all I want to. Right now. Today. With this comes an overwhelming sense of feeling trapped.
So I will reflect a little before finding my bearings again. Then I will make plans, big plans, that involve surrounding myself with other people, socialising, gaining new friends, new work commitments and exploring new horizons.
If I have time, I might then go off and save the planet.
