Never has anything caused as much excitement in our house as the arrival of a brand new trampoline; IJ’s first trampoline, in fact, as she’s never had one before.
Never have I been as popular as the day I told her she would be getting one thanks to this blog and the lovely people at Chad Valley.
It has proved to be a massive hit and she has played on it for hours. In the mind of a seven year old it is the best review product in the world ever.
IJ has been unable to contain herself, waking up early in the morning keen to go out and play on it and jumping on it as soon as she arrives home from school.
It is brilliant; we love it, and IJ is very keen to say thank you to Chad Valley.
Considering it arrived flat packed it was reasonably easy to assemble although we think the enclosure is designed to go over the foam bars not under them (the instructions were a little difficult to understand when it got to this point).
It is for ages 3-6 but IJ is nearly eight and could easily get a few years use out of it.
I really like the fact that it is enclosed so I feel safe with IJ playing with it while I watch from a far. It does say direct supervision only, but I don’t feel she needs me watching over her all the time as she is old enough to play independently.
At RRP £149.99 it seems good value for money considering its generous size.
Pros
- The size, quality and stability are excellent
- It was relatively easy to assemble although we found the instructions for fitting the net enclosure a little confusing
- It is low enough that she can get on it and off it herself
- The net enclosure adds extra safety and includes a zip she can open and close herself.
Cons
- It doesn’t come with a cover and there doesn’t seem one you can buy to go with it.
Overall, it is brilliant.
We’re awarding it 4½ out of 5, only because some of the instructions were a little difficult to understand.
Chad Valley is promoting their best toys for summer that encouraging children to play together and also promote independent play. We received the Chad Valley 7ft trampoline free of charge to review and we’ll be getting a huge amount of use out of it this summer. It can be found along with the whole Argos toy range over on the Argos website.

The enclosure looks good to me - Moo's isn't Chad Valley, but the enclosure does go inside the supports, not outside...
And just like you, the instructions were terrible!!

Ah! So we've got it right. That's a relief. It was the work of three adults trying to decipher a diagram.

That looks like a very secure trampoline, that should keep IJ busy over the next few months!

As you know, she's always wanted a trampoline!

I'm certain Little L would love it. It's a great way of tiring them out too, I've discovered! Gives me an extra half an hour in the evening because she's going to sleep earlier. It's win-win!
