One leisurely Sunday afternoon, two little girls head down to the river.
They think they spot something in the water, something even smaller than them.
They head off to investigate, and they are right: there is something there, if you look very closely.
And there they are, safe and sound.
But not for long.
This week's Gallery theme is Creatures, although this one could have been Motherhood.

What great photos. I tried to take some of a little duck family I saw for the motherhood week but just couldn't take it quick enough. They really motor along. Yours have come out brilliantly.

How sweet, we've got baby ducks near by us. The river is next to the road and every time they try to escape all the adults ducks shoo them back into the water
