In our house, we don't do Halloween.
We never celebrated it growing-up which probably has more to do with the Catholic beliefs of my parents more than anything else. The whole thing scares IJ and I don't really understand all the fuss.
If IJ came home and announced that she wanted to go to a Halloween party dressed as a witch with green paint all over her face, then I'd be happy to pop down to Stessco's and buy one (there's no chance of me ever being able to do anything with a needle and thread). But so far she has shown no interest, in fact quite the opposite, she finds all the Halloween paraphernalia quite frightening.
And since watching Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis (she was in the film, not in my living room, you understand), and scaring myself half to death, I'm not really a fan either.
I'm happy to hand over sweets to trick-or-treaters that dare to disturb my evening knock on my door.
But I'll be wearing this:
Mwah ha ha!
