IJ has come home from school and made a shock discovery.
Well, nothing that should have been that alarming.
She over-reacted when she saw it, as five-year-olds do in these situations.
In her absence a rare event had taken place.
Part of the house had been cleaned.
Yes. Cleaned. It really is true.
Well, I say part of the house, really I mean a small section of the kitchen.
Okay, I sprayed Cif on two work surfaces, and that's all, but they are now clean. Very clean in fact, sparkingly so.
And IJ, bless her, piped up: "Mummy, what's that smell?"
Me: "It's cleaning products, Darling."
IJ, looking shocked and confused: "When did you start using them?"
Charming.
They are now safely back in the cupboard.
